Sophie Weerts is a full professor of public law at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration, University of Lausanne. She holds a PhD in legal studies. Her research lies at the intersection of legal theory, constitutional law, and European law. She is currently focusing on issues related to digital transformation and its impacts on public administration, regulations, and human rights. In 2024, she received a four-year grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation to analyse the implementation of regulatory sandboxes in transforming the administrative state.
