Alejandro Dabdoub

Alejandro Dabdoub is an entrepreneur, investor, and author whose work sits at the intersection of business, technology, and the arts. He is the co-author of The Human Algorithm, a bestselling book on Amazon written with Kari Schneider, and Form Minds, Guard Souls: Human-Centered AI, a forthcoming work with Dr. Fernando De la Peña Llaca. Both books explore how artificial intelligence can serve human flourishing without diminishing human dignity.offering frameworks grounded in ethics, intellectual formation, and a deep respect for the human person. For Dabdoub, the question is not simply what AI can do, but what it should do and who we become in the process.

Born in Mexico City in 1972, the middle child of five siblings, Dabdoub developed an early appreciation for both business and the arts. He studied Business Administration at the University of New Orleans and later completed executive programs at Harvard Business School, IPADE Business School in Mexico City, and London Business School, where he focused on infrastructure finance. His first lessons in corporate management came from his grandfather's business, instilling a hands-on, family-rooted approach to entrepreneurship that continues to define his work.

Dabdoub's primary career has been in real estate development and investment. In 2001, he developed his first retail strip center in Houston, Texas, and began investing in multifamily housing with one of the most respected operators in the United States. He has since become a partner at Allied Orion Group (AOG), where he focuses on institutional capital formation and strategic alliances. His work spans developments in both the U.S. and Mexico, including high-end condominiums, mixed-use retail projects, and funds structured for international investors seeking diversified real estate portfolios.

The arts have been a constant thread throughout his life. Dabdoub has published two books of photography and produced four films, including one selected for the Cannes Film Festival and won an award at the Paris Film Festival. He is a member of the Corpus Art Foundation, which acquires contemporary works and lends them to institutions such as the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) in Mexico City, ensuring public access to significant art.

His newest venture brings together faith, culture, and storytelling: Dabdoub is executive producer for  Bernadette the musical, a musical recounting the story of Saint Bernadette Soubirous and the apparitions at Lourdes, reflecting his belief that the arts can illuminate spiritual truths and bring communities together.

Dabdoub's perspective on artificial intelligence is shaped by this same conviction that technology, like art, must ultimately serve something greater than itself.

He lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife and children.
